AQVA Smart EVO RO-system
The AQVA Smart EVO reverse osmosis device is the most compact and efficient in its category, ideal for purifying lake, well, and municipal water at home or in cottages.
Manufactured in Finland and awarded with Key Flag Symbol, the AQVA Smart EVO is the result of innovative development, making it a more advanced and efficient reverse osmosis device than previous models.
The new features include a reverse osmosis membrane that is up to four times faster relative to its size and a larger activated carbon mass, combined with pre- and post-filters. These enhancements provide an advantage in removing gaseous impurities like radon and hydrogen sulfide odors. Additionally, a 0.1µm density filter has been added to the post-filtration process, ensuring water quality even after extended periods of non-use by mechanically sterilizing the water.
The AQVA Smart EVO is typically installed under the kitchen sink and connected to the cold water line or the dishwasher line using the included connectors. Purified water flows from a small, stylish faucet, which is installed near the sink. The faucet is made of high-quality stainless steel.
Benefits
- Makes lake, well, and municipal water safe to drink.
- Removes 85–99.9% of all impurities regardless of the raw water quality (excluding gaseous impurities).
- The fastest water production speed in its size class, filtering up to 32 liters per hour (approximately 5 dl/min).
- Handles even large, instantaneous consumption peaks.
- Always ready with about 1.5 liters of clean water.
- Stainless steel is hygienic and does not leach metals into the water.
- Easy and quick filter replacement.
- Low maintenance – filters need to be replaced only once a year.
- Filters are standard-sized and affordable.
Purification and Effectiveness
The mechanical activated carbon filter inside the pre-filter housing removes suspended solids and sludge, such as rust, sand, and humus, as well as gaseous radon and hydrogen sulfide odors. The primary purification process occurs with the reverse osmosis membrane, where only pure water molecules pass through the large surface area membrane, while impurities are flushed away with the wastewater. The automatic wastewater flush requires no electricity and operates only when water is drawn.
Post-filtration ensures the hygienic quality of the water. It uses a combination of fibrous activated carbon and 0.1µm sterilization filtration, effectively removing gaseous impurities like radon and hydrogen sulfide. During post-mineralization, the water's alkalinity is increased by adding beneficial minerals, such as calcium, ensuring a fresh taste.
Filtered Substances (Removes 85 - 99%):
- Bacteria, viruses, and cysts
- Manganese
- Iron
- Uranium, arsenic, radon*
- Blue-green algae (99.9%)**
- Fluoride, chloride
- Humus
- Odors and taste issues
- Impurities from pipelines
- Hormone, antibiotic, and pharmaceutical residues
- Pollutants
- Microplastics
- Yellow or brown coloration
- Limescale
- Purified water ORP: -165 mV***
- Purified water pH: 9.0 - 9.5***
- Purified water TDS: 33 mg/L***
*The pre-filter removes gaseous impurities. If present in large quantities, additional pre-filtration may be necessary.
**If large amounts of blue-green algae are present, additional pre-filtration may be required. Pre-filtration removes the visible part of the algae. Toxins produced by blue-green algae are filtered during the main purification phase with the osmosis membrane, through which only pure water molecules can pass.
***The usage rate of post-filters and the quality of the raw water can affect these values, typically by up to 15%.
Replacement Filters
A filter package is included with the device. Replace the filters within the recommended time frame. The recommendations are based on the consumption of a four-person household and poor water quality, such as yellowish water.
Reverse Osmosis Membrane (Product Code AQ060-200): The replacement interval* can be longer, but it is recommended to replace it once a year along with the other filters to ensure consistent water production speed, even if the quality of the well or water source varies.
1. Complete annual replacement package: Pre-filters, reverse osmosis membrane, and post-filters (Product Code AQ006-EVO-V1*). Replacement interval* is 1 year.
2. Filters separately:
5 µm activated carbon filter (Product Code AQCB-M)
Reverse osmosis membrane (Product Code AQ060-200)
Mineralization filter (Product Code AQ006-PM)
Post-filter (Product Code AQUF01-M)
*The lifespan of the filters depends on the quality of the raw water. If the water is very dirty or the household is large, the filters may need to be replaced more frequently. If you notice changes in the quality of the purified water, we recommend performing a follow-up water analysis of the raw water.

Technical Specifications
- The high-quality purified water faucet is made of stainless steel (Product Code AQ007-1).
- T-connector for water supply, thread size: ½ inch.
- The compact buffer water tank holds approximately 1.5 - 2.0 liters of clean water ready for use. If the tank runs empty, it refills within a few minutes.
- The faster osmosis membrane ensures that even with a small clean water tank, the water will not run out under normal use (saves space).
- Reverse osmosis unit dimensions: H 32 cm x W 38 cm x D 15 cm.
- Water tank dimensions: Diameter 14 cm x Height 33 cm.
- The purified water faucet can be mounted to the sink using a 12 mm hole.
- The height of the purified water faucet from the countertop is approximately 23 cm. The distance between the spout and the arm is 13 cm.
- The purified water faucet rotates 360 degrees and includes a locking feature.
- Water tank capacity: approximately 1.5 liters (influenced by input water pressure).
- The device produces about 32 liters of purified water per hour with average water quality when the input water pressure is 5 bar and the conductivity is 100 µS/cm.
- The ratio of clean water production is approximately 1:2, meaning the device produces about 2 liters of rinse water for every 1 liter of clean water.
- The purified water production rate is moderate in direct flow, so the device has its own water tank, which is always full. When the faucet is opened, the device detects the usage and starts producing more purified water.
- Use the services of an HVAC or plumbing installation company to connect the device to the water supply network and for commissioning.
- Review the user manual, which can be found in the "Downloaded Files" tab.
System Requirements
- Steady input pressure of 2–6 bar.
- Install in the water line after a diaphragm pressure tank or diaphragm pump.
- Recommended maximum water conductivity is 2350 µS/cm. Refer to the user manual for more detailed information.
Dishwasher Connection
- The reverse osmosis device's water tank can be connected as a water reserve for a small dishwasher that uses up to 10 liters of water per hour.
Required connectors:
Possibility to Operate with Solar Panels
- A pressure water pump, available from grocery or marine supply stores, can be connected to the battery power of a solar power system at the cottage. The pump supplies water to the purification device, requiring a continuous pressure capability of 2 bar. Higher pressure results in faster purified water production. Larger systems are typically used with an inverter connected to the solar panel array. The inverter provides the necessary household electricity for the system and other cottage consumption.
Winter Storage
- To store the reverse osmosis system over winter, seal the water lines and move the system to a warm place. In spring, when reactivating the device, run water for about 30 minutes into the drain to flush the membranes. After this, the water can be used normally.
