The AQVA DUO counterrtop filter, made of stainless steel, is a convenient tap-connected drinking water purifier that filters the most common impurities in well or municipal water and makes the water fresh and tasty. Easy to install.
- Water can be taken either unfiltered or filtered. Straight from the tap, it comes unfiltered, for example, as dishwater. By turning the switch, impurities are filtered.
- Installation takes a few minutes.
- Filters iron and manganese, which usually cause color in well water, as well as odor and taste problems, as well as otherwise difficult-to-remove microbiological impurities such as bacteria, yeasts, molds, protozoa and parasites.
- Because the product has no wearing parts with sliding surfaces, it has superior wear and use resistance. The valve mechanism is designed to withstand thousands of uses without leaks or other problems.
- Stainless steel is a hygienic and durable material that does not dissolve in water.
NOTE! It is recommended to be used for well or lake water only as a quality improver or as recommended by an expert based on water analysis. The quality of well and natural waters may vary or they may contain unknown compounds that the product is not necessarily designed to filter. Treat the product as a quality improver, make sure of the water quality and if you notice clear changes in the smell, taste or otherwise in the water quality, stop using it or replace the filter with a new one. Water quality changes can only be determined by water analysis. If you want to ensure the quality of filtered water more fully, we recommend reverse osmosis, for example with product code AQ006-EVO (AQVA Smart EVO)
How it works
- Iron and manganese are filtered out of the water in the ion exchange filter, as well as large debris and sediments coming off the pipeline. Part of the humus is also filtered here.
- The activated carbon of the adsorption filter binds water impurities.
- Ultrafiltration removes bacteria, yeasts, protozoa and molds with an accuracy of 0.1 micrometer.
Filter from water
- iron and rust
- bacteria, viruses, yeasts and molds
- microplastics
- antibiotic and hormone residues
- petrochemicals
- phenols
- radon
- solids down to 0.1 µm (0.0001 millimeter)
- manganese
- humus (COD, KMnO4 or permanganate consumption)
- chlorine and chloramine
- pesticides
- smells and tastes
- color
- heavy metals such as copper, lead, mercury and cadmium
- aluminum
- lime
Filter replacement interval
The capacity of the filters is up to four thousand liters, depending on the quality of the water. If there is a lot of rust, iron, humus, microbiological impurities or lime in the water to be cleaned, the capacity may be less than four thousand liters.
The need to change the filter caused by clogging can be noticed as the flow of purified water slows down, the quality deteriorates, or the color and taste deteriorate.
The replacement interval is typically 6 to 12 months. / 1-4 users. The amounts of iron, manganese and humus that affect the sufficiency the most.
The filter is easy to change. The change is made using the included case key.
Product codes for replacement filters: AQ050 and AQUF01-M
Installation
- The product is connected to the tap spout directly to the threads of the aerator nozzle or with the supplied thread adapter.
If your tap has special threads, measure the diameter of the tap aerator, and choose the right special metal adapter from the list below.
You can order suitable special metal adapters from our online store:
- AQ080 converts threads from 18.5mm to 22mm
- AQ081 converts short 22mm threads to longer 22mm threads. This extension piece is for taps where the aerator nozzle attaches to the tap spout with inner threads.
- AQ082 converts threads from 24 mm to 22 mm
- For Oras "La Cucina Alessi", Optima, Cubista and IKEA taps, Special adapter 18.5 mm -> 22 mm must be purchased separately. Product code: AQ080
- For Oras taps with a 24 mm aerator nozzle (with external threads), a special adapter for 24 mm -> 22 mm is suitable. Product code: AQ082
- Oras Safira 1030, Oras Safira 1035S, Oras 1825FG and Oras Care taps require a special adapter. Product code: AQ082
