AQVA XL-Size Ultrafilter Package for Lake Water Purification
The ultimate water clarifier for converting lake water into utility water, such as sauna washing water. Featuring a 0.1 µm ultrafilter in an AQVA XL-size housing, this package effectively removes humus, bacteria, and other microbiological impurities from utility water. Designed for simultaneous purification at 1–4 water points. For drinking water purification, particularly when microbiological impurities are present, we recommend a reverse osmosis system, such as the AQVA Smart EVO drinking water purifier.
Benefits:
- Enhances utility water quality
- Pressure release button for easy housing opening
- No drainage system required
Purification and Filtration Methods:
The ultrafilter’s 0.1 µm membrane mechanically removes microbiological impurities. For comparison, bacteria typically measure around 0.2 µm, and humus particles are approximately 0.45 mm.
Removes from Water:
- Blue-green algae (cyanobacteria)**
Note: For complete removal of cyanobacterial toxins, we recommend reverse osmosis technology, such as the AQVA Smart EVO reverse osmosis drinking water purifier.
Replacement Filter:
- Typical lifespan: 50,000–100,000 liters*
- *Filter lifespan depends on raw water quality. Replace the filter when water flow decreases significantly or outlet pressure drops near zero, indicating a clogged filter. If you notice changes in purified water quality, we recommend conducting a follow-up water analysis of the raw water.
Package Contents:
- Housing tightening wrench
Technical Specifications:
- Recommended flow rate: Approximately 15 liters per minute, suitable for 1–4 water points
- Pressure drop: 0.3 bar at a flow rate of approximately 10 L/min
- Connection size: 1-inch threaded fittings
- Dimensions: Housing height 59 cm, width 19 cm; wall-mount bracket height 13 cm
- Operating temperature: 2–30°C
- Compatible with standard 20 x 4.5-inch inline filter cartridges in the AQVA XL-size filter housing
- Features a pressure release button for easy housing opening
- Refer to the user manual available under the “Downloads” tab
System Requirements:
- Consistent inlet pressure: 2–10 bar
- Water supply to the purifier, typically installed after a membrane pressure tank or pump
- Pre-filtration unit: Due to the ultrafilter’s tight mechanical membrane, adequate pre-filtration is essential. For example, use a fine filtration package (AQ1XL-MF1).
- Other impurities, such as iron/rust, must be removed first using an iron filter (e.g., AQ1XL-FE). Large humus quantities should be pre-treated with a humus filter (e.g., AQ052X).
Winter Storage:
During winter, if temperatures drop below 2°C, close water lines and drain the inline filter housing to prevent freezing damage.
