AQVA SAIMAA 2 GO Portable Reverse Osmosis Device
NEW compact, portable, and easy-to-carry reverse osmosis (RO) system for purifying drinking water from seawater, lake water, or well water. Produces up to 12 liters of fresh drinking water per hour from seawater and approximately 24 liters per hour from freshwater sources. Operates on battery power or directly from a solar pane.
Easy to install, operate, and maintain! Delivers the highest clean water production capacity (liters per hour) in its size class.
Its open design and flexible component placement make operation and filter replacement simple. The AQVA SAIMAA 2 GO reverse osmosis unit has low annual operating costs, approximately €80 per year. The RO module is manufactured in Finland and carries the Key Flag Symbol.
Includes all necessary parts*, hoses, and components. Supplied with a 230 VAC to 24 VDC power supply for mains use. Can also be powered by standard 12–24 V batteries or a solar panel (e.g., 60–100 W), connected directly to the unit’s positive and negative terminals. With two 4 Ah scooter batteries, it can produce up to 50 liters of clean water from seawater or approximately 100 liters from freshwater. Features a self-priming pump capable of drawing water from up to 5 meters below the unit.
Benefits of the SAIMAA 2 GO device:
- Perfectly suited for boaters, RV travelers, off-grid or remote cabins, and island accommodations.
- Easily meets the drinking water needs of campers, hikers, or off-grid cabins.
- Simple to use and maintain.
- Low annual operating costs
- Easily portable, no fixed installation required
- Removes even difficult contaminants such as uranium, arsenic, blue-green algae (99.9%), fluoride, and chloride.
- Produces clear, clean-tasting water.
- Includes pre-filtration with activated carbon and post-mineralization with calcium after RO filtration.
- Can be used to purify even aesthetically dirty water if necessary.
- Water production capacity: ~12 liters/hour with 6 bar feed pressure and 4.5‰ salinity (typical coastal salinity in Finland ranges from 2 to 7‰).
Booster Pump Specifications:
- Voltage: 24 VDC
- Nominal current: 1.5 A @ 6 bar
- Nominal power consumption: 36 W
- Energy required to produce 12 liters of purified water: approx. 36 Wh
- Energy consumption depends on water temperature, salinity, and filter condition.
- When using high-performance AQVA Baltic RO membranes, salt rejection is 93–97 %, depending on water temperature, membrane usage, and feed pressure.
System Includes:
- AQVA SAIMAA 2 GO reverse osmosis unit (Product code: AFRO2-GO)
- Internal dual-stage pre-filtration for sediment, humic substances, and odors, including softening via AQVA M-size carbon block filter (Product code: AQCB-M)
- Internal post-filter for remineralization with calcium (Product code: AQ006-PM)
- 2x 5-meter 1/4" inlet and outlet hoses
- Submersible intake strainer to block large debris and simplify water collection
*Requires an external power source for operation (not included).
Replacement Filters:
- RO membrane x 1 (AQ061-B): replace at least every 2 years
- Post-mineralization filter (AQ006-PM): replace annually
- Pre-filter (AQCB-M): replace annually
Filter lifespan may vary depending on water turbidity and humic content, but typically pre-filters are replaced once per year, and RO membranes every two years (with aesthetically clean water and annual usage of 30,000–50,000 liters).
Winter Storage:
Winterizing the unit is simple and does not require additional valves. Seal the water lines on the RO unit with the provided plugs and store the main unit in a warm location.
