With this filter combination, you can replace the product AQ3XL-MF1-IRON-CAT.

AQVA XL Size Filter System designed for filtering iron, manganese, and hydrogen sulfide odor. Enhanced manganese filtration with the new domestically manufactured AQFE2-XL filter by AQVA.

Filtration and Functionality:

• Stage 1: Removes visible and invisible particulate matter down to 1µm (1/1000th of a millimeter) with a fine filter, also reducing approximately 30% of humus. (AQMF1-XL)
• Stage 2: Filters iron and manganese using the AQVA Iron 2 filter, which operates by oxidizing iron and manganese. (AQFE2-XL)
• Stage 3: Neutralizes hydrogen sulfide odor and other potential taste and odor issues using catalytic activated carbon. (AQCAT-XL)

System Requirements:

• Typical flow rate: Up to 15 liters per minute. Higher flow rates are possible, but filtration efficiency may temporarily decrease
• Typically installed after a pressure tank, before the property’s water distribution system
• Operating temperature: 2–30°C
• Typical pressure drop at 10 liters/min flow: 0.3–0.6 bar, depending on filter usage
• Operating pressure: 2–10 bar. For higher pressures, a pressure reduction valve can be installed before the filter
• Maximum iron content in water: Up to 4 mg/L (4000 µg/L), recommended 2 mg/L (2000 µg/L)
• Maximum manganese content in water: Up to 600 µg/L, recommended 300 µg/L
• Maximum recommended humus content: COD 15 mg/L (60 mg/L KMnO4). Humus type may affect performance
• Hydrogen sulfide: Effective for moderate amounts. Suitable for noticeable but not overwhelming odors. As hydrogen sulfide levels cannot be precisely measured and odor perception varies, exact specifications are not possible. For strong odors, an additional filter housing and AQCAT-XL filter can be added

• AQCAT-XL, Hydrogen sulfide filter: Approx. 140,000 liters.*

Winter Storage:

• In winter, if temperatures drop below 2°C, close water lines and empty filter housings to prevent frost damage
