The AQVA Smart EVO UV reverse osmosis device, with the lowest operating costs and the most compact design, is ideal for purifying lake, well, and municipal water for home and cabin use. Designed, developed, and manufactured in Finland.
The AQVA Smart EVO UV is a Finnish-made product, the result of innovative development, and a more efficient and advanced reverse osmosis device compared to previous models. With the Smart EVO, you can purify drinking water, for example, from a nearby lake at your cabin or home, making it completely clean and potable. Its compact design makes it easy to install even in tight spaces.
New features include a small UV sterilizer that replaces the post-filter, making the device more cost-effective to use. The annual filter replacement package costs only €49. Additionally, the device features an osmosis membrane that is up to four times faster for its size, a larger activated carbon mass, and combined pre- and post-filters. These provide advantages, such as removing gaseous radon or hydrogen sulfide odors. The small UV sterilizer in the post-filtration ensures the quality of water taken from the tank, even after extended periods of non-use.
The AQVA Smart EVO UV reverse osmosis device is typically installed in a kitchen cabinet under the sink and connected to the cold water line or dishwasher line using the included connectors. Purified water flows through a small, stylish tap installed next to the sink. The purified water tap is made of high-quality stainless steel.
The mechanical activated carbon pre-filter inside the housing removes solids and sediments such as rust, sand, and humus, as well as gaseous radon and hydrogen sulfide odors.
The main purification occurs through the reverse osmosis membrane. Only pure water molecules pass through the large-surface-area membrane, while impurities are flushed to the drain with wastewater. The automatic wastewater flush, which operates without electricity, functions only when water is drawn.
Post-filtration ensures the hygienic quality of the water in and passing through the system using a combination of activated carbon and UV sterilization. This also ensures the removal of gaseous impurities like radon and hydrogen sulfide.
Post-mineralization increases the water’s alkalinity by adding beneficial minerals, such as calcium, ensuring a fresh taste.
*Pre-filter removes gaseous impurities. If present in large quantities, separate pre-filtration may be necessary.
**For large amounts of blue-green algae, separate pre-filtration may be required. Pre-filtration removes visible algae, while toxins are filtered by the osmosis membrane, which allows only pure water molecules to pass.
***Filter usage and raw water quality may affect results, typically by up to 15%.
The device comes with a filter package. Replace filters according to recommendations, based on a four-person household’s consumption and poor water quality (e.g., yellowish water).
*Filter lifespan depends on raw water quality. For heavily contaminated water or large households, filters may need more frequent replacement. If you notice changes in purified water quality, we recommend conducting a raw water analysis.
Dishwasher Connection
The device’s water tank can be connected to a small dishwasher (max 10 liters/hour water consumption).
For dishwashers with over 10 liters/hour consumption, an additional 10-liter buffer tank and connectors may be needed:
For cabins with solar power systems, connect a pressure water pump (available at supermarkets or boating stores) to the solar battery to supply water to the device. A minimum continuous pressure of 2 bar is required; higher pressure increases purified water production speed.
Larger systems typically use an inverter connected to solar panels to provide standard household electricity for the device and other cabin needs.
For winter storage, cap the water lines and move the device to a warm location. The UV sterilizer, tap, hoses, connectors, and diaphragm tank can remain in freezing conditions if water is drained.
In spring, flush the membranes by running water to the drain for ~30 minutes before normal use.
