With this filter combination, you can replace the discontinued products AQ3XL-MF1-MAX-KDF and AQ3XL-MF1-MAX-UF01.

AQVA 20" BB / XL-Size Filter System. Designed for filtering organic matter and bacteria, as well as odors and tastes.

Filtration and Functionality:

• Stage 1: Filters visible and invisible particulate matter down to 1µm (1/1000th of a millimeter) with a fine filter (AQMF1-XL). This stage also filters approximately 30% of dissolved organic matter
• Stage 2: Primarily filters organic matter (COD or KMnO4), and to some extent iron and manganese, using KDF media and high-surface-area granular activated carbon. Filter type: AQKDF-XL
• Stage 3: Final water purification with a 0.1µm ultrafilter (AQUF01-XL), which filters bacteria, yeasts, molds, particulate matter, and additional organic matter. The filter’s outer surface is made of activated carbon fiber

System Requirements:

• Typical flow rate: Up to 15 liters per minute (suitable for 1–4 water points). Higher flow rates are possible, but filtration efficiency may temporarily decrease
• Typical pressure drop at 10 liters/min flow: 0.4–0.6 bar, depending on filter usage
• Operating pressure: 2–10 bar. For higher pressures, a pressure reduction valve can be installed before the filter
• Maximum recommended iron content in water: 500 µg/L
• Maximum recommended manganese content: 100 µg/L
• Maximum recommended humus content: COD 10 mg/L (40 mg/L KMnO4). The system can handle higher humus levels, but the ultrafilter may clog faster
• For water containing fecal bacteria, additional purification for drinking water is recommended, e.g., with a compact reverse osmosis unit like AQVA Smart EVO (AQ006-EVO), due to the theoretical risk of mechanical failure
