Neither small nor large, AQVA Smart MAX is suitable for purifying lake, well, and municipal water, both at home and at the cottage, when guaranteed clean drinking, sauna, and washing water is needed.
Its core, the reverse osmosis unit, results from innovative development and is manufactured in Finland. The device is more powerful and advanced than other reverse osmosis units in its size category. Its operation is so simple that it only requires the pressure from a water pump to function, such as a pressurized water system used to draw water from a lake.
The new feature of the device is a larger reverse osmosis membrane, which produces up to 60 liters of clean water per hour. The activated carbon mass in the pre- and post-filters, as well as the pre- and post-filters themselves, enhance the filtration of gaseous substances such as radon and hydrogen sulfide odors. In addition, a 0.1 µm density filter has been added for post-filtration, ensuring sterilization (mechanical) and guaranteeing the quality of the water drawn from the tap included with the device. This filter also ensures water quality even after extended periods of non-use. Additionally, the water directed to the parallel 185-liter water tank passes through efficient post-filtration.
The AQVA Smart MAX reverse osmosis unit is typically mounted on a wall and connected to a pre-filter, where water is supplied from the water pump. The filtered water is then divided into two streams: one to the faucet for drinking and cooking water, and the other to the water tank, which serves as a reserve for sauna, washing, and other water needs. The clean water faucet is made of high-quality stainless steel, and the water tank is equipped with an automatic float valve that stops water production once the tank is full.
Benefits
- Makes water drinkable (lake, well, and municipal water).
- Removes 85–99.9% of all impurities, regardless of the quality of the raw water (excluding gaseous impurities).
- The most efficient in its size class in terms of water production rate. Filters up to 60 liters per hour. With new filters, it produces 1 liter per minute at 6.9 bar input pressure and 0.5 liters per minute at 3.5 bar input pressure (with a TDS value of 60 mg/l).
- The water tank ensures sufficient water supply during peak consumption periods (e.g., sauna evenings).
- 185 liters of clean water are available and ready in the full tank.
- The stainless steel faucet is hygienic and does not leach metals into the water.
- Quick and easy filter replacement.
- Low maintenance – filters need to be replaced only once a year (depending on water quality and usage).
- The filters are standard size and affordable.
Purification and Functionality
- The combination of mechanical fine filtration and ion exchange inside the pre-filter housing filters out solids and debris, such as rust, sand, and humus.
- The activated carbon filter inside the reverse osmosis unit reduces chemical compounds, radon, and various metals from the water.
- The primary purification occurs through the reverse osmosis membrane. Only pure water molecules can pass through the large-surface-area membrane, while impurities are rejected and flushed out with the waste water.
- Post-filtration ensures the good quality of water not only from the faucet but also in the water tank.
- Mineralization occurs just before water is drawn from the faucet. This raises the water’s pH level and improves its taste.

Additional Information
- Filter package comes with the device. Replace the filters within the recommended timeframe.
- The reverse osmosis membrane (product code AQ061-600) can last longer, but it is recommended to replace it once a year along with the other filters to ensure optimal clean water production, even if the quality of the well or water source varies.
Technical Specifications
- High-quality clean water faucet made of stainless steel (product code AQ007-1).
- Water supply connection for the pre-filter: 1" internal.Water tank capacity: 185 liters (float valve installation height affects this). If the tank runs empty, it will be fully refilled in about 6 hours at 3.5 bar pressure and 3 hours at 7 bar pressure.
- Faster reverse osmosis membrane ensures that even with a small reverse osmosis unit, the daily output is higher.
- Reverse osmosis unit size: H 35 cm x W 38 cm x D 15 cm.
- Water tank size: Height 910 mm x Width 605 mm x Depth 400 mm.
- The water tank’s airtight maintenance hatch has an inner diameter of 210 mm.
- The replacement air filter for the water tank is a 1µm polypropylene filter (prevents pollen, yeast, and mold).
- The clean water faucet can be mounted on a sink with a 12 mm hole.
- Faucet height above the countertop: approx. 23 cm. The distance between the spout and the faucet body: 13 cm.
- The clean water faucet rotates 360 degrees and includes a locking option.
- Clean water production rate: approx. 30 liters per hour with a typical water quality of 3.5 bar pressure and a TDS value of 60. At 6.9 bar pressure, the rate is about 1 liter per minute.
- The clean water production ratio is approximately 1:2, meaning the device generates about 2 liters of rinse water for every liter of purified water.
- The production rate of purified water in direct flow is relatively modest, which is why the device includes its own water tank, which is always full. When water is drawn from the tank, the device detects the usage and begins producing more purified water.
- Water for the faucet comes directly from the reverse osmosis unit, passing through the mineralization stage. Depending on the water pressure, the filter usage, and the TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) level of the water, the flow rate to the faucet is about 0.5 to 1 liter per minute.
- Water can be extracted from the tank by gravity, or a pressure water system can be connected to the tank’s outlet (3/4" internal thread).
- Use the services of a certified HVAC or plumbing installer to connect the device to the water system and for commissioning.
- Please refer to the operating manual available in the "Documents" tab for more information.
System Requirements
- Steady feed pressure of 2–8 bar.
- Install in the water line after a diaphragm pressure tank or pump, or directly after the pressure water system.
- The recommended maximum water conductivity is 2350 µS/cm. For more detailed information, consult the operating manual.
Solar Panel Compatibility
The device can be connected to a solar power system at the cottage. The pressure water pump can be connected to the battery system, which is commonly available at supermarkets or marine supply stores. The pump must be able to provide a continuous pressure of at least 2 bar. The higher the pressure, the faster the device produces purified water.
Larger systems are typically connected through an inverter attached to the solar panel system, providing standard household electricity for the device and other cottage needs.
Winter Storage
For winter storage, the reverse osmosis system can be preserved by capping the water lines and relocating the device to a warm area. The water tank and pre-filter should be drained and left at the cottage. When restarting the system in the spring, it is recommended to run water through the drain for about 30 minutes to flush the membranes. After this, the water can be used normally.
