Neutralizing filter for acidic water. Suitable for increasing the pH value.

The operation is based on the natural alkalization of water. The renewed filter cartridge, made in Finland, contains domestic calcium. A low pH value causes corrosion of copper pipes, for example.

Indicative pH increase at different flow rates, liters per minute:

• 2.5 lpm = +1

• 5 lpm = +0.7

• 7.5 lpm = +0.6

By connecting several filters in series, the pH increase can be increased in relation to the flow rate. In practice, the amount of pH increase must be verified by testing, as the raw water quality, especially the initial pH value, has an effect on the pH increase when using the filter. In general, it can be said; the lower the pH value in the raw water, the higher the increase with the filter and vice versa.

Filter efficiency:

The efficiency is affected by the properties of the water and the initial pH value of the water. At pH 6, approximately 60,000 liters. The properties of the water affect the practical efficiency; in principle, the efficiency decreases at low pH and increases at higher pH.

Recommended use at a pH value of 5.0 - 6.9.

pH filter deployment:

The calcium-containing filter should be rinsed with plenty of water when first used. Rinsing should be repeated several times.*
