AQVA L-Size
Filter System for Water Purification
The AQVA
L-size filter system is engineered for advanced water purification, effectively
removing humus, earthy or musty odors, and tastes. It also reduces small
amounts of iron and manganese, delivering clean, high-quality water for
household use. This system is ideal for addressing water quality issues related
to taste and odor, ensuring safe and pleasant drinking water.
Filtration Process
- First Stage: Fine Filtration
A 1 µm (1/1000th of a millimeter) fine filter (AQMF1-L) removes visible
and invisible suspended solids, providing clear water. This stage also
eliminates approximately 30% of humus, improving water clarity and
quality.
- Second Stage: AQVA MAX Filter
The AQVA MAX filter (AQ051X), utilizing high-surface-area ion-exchange
fiber technology, primarily targets humus while also reducing iron and
manganese levels. This ensures effective water treatment for common
impurities.
- Final Stage: Odor and Taste
Filtration
The AQKDF-L filter, combining KDF media and activated carbon, removes
common odor and taste impurities, delivering fresh-tasting water free from
earthy or musty notes.

Filtration Performance
- Typical Flow Rate: Up to 8
liters per minute. Higher flow rates are possible, but filtration
efficiency may temporarily decrease.
- Pressure Drop: 0.5–1.0 bar at a
flow rate of 10 liters per minute, influenced by filter usage.
- Operating Pressure: 2–6 bar.
For higher pressures, a pressure reduction valve can be installed.
Raw Water Requirements
- Maximum Iron Content: Up to 2
mg/L (2000 µg/L), recommended limit 1 mg/L.
- Maximum Manganese Content: Up
to 300 µg/L, recommended limit 150 µg/L.
- Maximum Humus Content: COD 20
mg/L (80 mg/L KMnO4). Humus type may affect filtration efficiency and
lifespan.
This system
is specifically designed to address earthy or musty odors and tastes. It
moderately reduces hydrogen sulfide levels in water.
