AQVA AHTI L reverse osmosis system for fresh water

The most efficient solution for purifying well or lake water to make it drinkable. Produces up to 300 liters of clean drinking water per hour.

Benefits

  • Produces crystal clear water.
  • The water production of the equipment can be expanded practically indefinitely.
  • Filters up to 99% of impurities
  • Easy to use and maintain, even for seasonal cottage use.
  • Easily enough to cover the water consumption of an average Finnish family.
  • Water is produced into a large 185-liter clean water tank, which acts as a buffer during consumption peaks.
  • Also filters out difficult-to-remove compounds from water, such as fluoride, uranium, blue-green algae, chloride and arsenic.
  • Multi-stage pre- and post-filtration.
  • Filters usually only need to be replaced once a year.

Cleaning and action methods

  1. The XL-size activated carbon filter filters solids from water as well as a wide range of contaminants, such as organic compounds, metals, industrial chemicals, and gaseous compounds such as hydrogen sulfide and radon.
  2. The XL Polyphosphate filter protects the device and extends the life of the osmosis membrane. It converts impurities such as lime and humus into a form that prevents them from accumulating in the structure of the device.
  3. The large reverse osmosis membrane is the heart of the device: it filters impurities very efficiently, allowing clean water to pass through. The impurities are washed away with the rinse water.
  4. The post-filter ensures the hygienic quality of the water in and through the system through a combination of fibrous activated carbon and 0.1µm ultrafiltration. This also enhances the filtration of gaseous contaminants.
  5. A post-mineralization filter adds calcium to the water and at the same time raises the pH value of the water. This makes the water fresher and more natural tasting.

Filters water

  • Solid particles
  • Turbidity and color
  • Lime
  • Metals such as iron and manganese
  • Heavy metals such as lead, mercury, cadmium, arsenic*
  • Salts such as chloride**, sodium**, sulfates, nitrates and nitrites
  • Organic compounds such as pesticides, drug residues and hormones
  • Microbiological contaminants such as bacteria, viruses and molds.
  • Chlorine and other chlorine compounds
  • Uranium
  • Gaseous pollutants such as radon*** and hydrogen sulfide

* Arsenic is usually filtered with an efficiency of over 85%, but in some situations the filtration result is weaker.** Salt (sodium and chloride) is filtered with a freshwater system by about 85%. ***If the water contains radon, it should be noted that the activated carbon filter may act as a radiation source. For more information, see the operating and installation instructions.

Replacement filters

Pre-filters to be replaced annually:

Filters to be replaced every two years:

Replace the filters at the latest if they become clogged or the water output slows down.

Package contents

  • 2x Combination of two XL filter housings for pre-filters
  • Pre-filters: 2x AQCB-XL and 2x AQPF-XL
  • AQVA AHTI reverse osmosis unit
  • Osmosis membrane 2x AQ062
  • 185 liter clean water tank: AQ-TAN-185
  • Water tank replacement air filter, AQ1MC-MF1
  • Almost silent distribution pump: Scala1
  • Post-filter: AQUF01-L
  • Post-mineralization filter: AQ1XL-PH
  • Hoses and connectors for connecting pre-filters and a water tank to the reverse osmosis unit.

Technical features

  • Pre-filter inlet water connection, 1" internal thread.
  • Three-way valve for the outlet of the clean water tank, 3/4" internal thread.
  • Distribution pump inlet and outlet 1" external thread.
  • From post-mineralization filter to distribution, 1" internal thread.
  • The equipment requires a wall space of approximately 200 x 150cm. The largest single component is the water tank, whose dimensions are: H91 x W61 x D40 (cm). The components can be placed freely and not all components need to be placed in the same space.
  • The equipment should be installed in a space where any water leaks or runoff, on the walls or floor, will not cause problems.
  • The system produces more rinse water than clean water. The recommended amount of rinse water is 2-3 liters per 1 liter of filtered water. The ratio can be adjusted using the rinse water meter on the system.
  • For more information, please refer to the user and installation instructions found on the "Files" tab.

System requirements

  • Steady supply pressure 2–10bar.
  • At pressures below 3 bar, the clean water output may be slow. At higher supply pressures, the clean water output increases.
  • The recommended feed water temperature is 4 - 30C. Lower temperatures slow down the output but improve the cleaning efficiency. Warmer water has the opposite effect.
  • Recommended feed water TDS value below 1500 mg/l. With a higher TDS value, the production rate is lower and with a lower one, the production rate is faster.
  • For more information, please refer to the user and installation instructions found on the "Files" tab.

Winter storage

The equipment must not be allowed to freeze, so that there is water inside it. However, the equipment can be used in locations where there is no winter heating. In this case, the equipment must be taken into account for winter storage. Detailed instructions for the measures can be found in the equipment's operating and installation instructions.
