The AQVA XL-size filter system is designed for high-capacity water purification, effectively removing iron, manganese, hydrogen sulfide odors, and humus. Filtration Process:

• First Stage: Fine Filtration
  

  A 1 µm (1/1000th of a millimeter) fine filter (AQMF1-XL) removes visible and invisible suspended solids, delivering clear water. This stage also reduces approximately 30% of humus, enhancing water clarity and quality.

• Second Stage: AQVA IRON Filter
  

  The AQVA IRON filter (AQ052), utilizing high-surface-area ion-exchange fiber technology, targets iron and manganese, effectively reducing these metals to ensure high-quality water.

• Final Stage: Hydrogen Sulfide and Odor Filtration
  

  The AQCAT-XL filter neutralizes hydrogen sulfide odors and other taste and odor impurities, ensuring fresh, pleasant-tasting water.

Filtration Performance:

• Typical Flow Rate: Up to 15 liters per minute. Higher flow rates are possible, but filtration efficiency may temporarily decrease.

• Pressure Drop: 0.3–0.8 bar at a flow rate of 10 liters per minute, influenced by filter usage.

• Operating Pressure: 2–6 bar. For higher pressures, a pressure reduction valve can be installed.

Raw Water Requirements:

• Maximum Iron Content: Up to 4 mg/L (4000 µg/L), recommended limit 2 mg/L.

• Maximum Manganese Content: Up to 600 µg/L, recommended limit 300 µg/L.

• Maximum Humus Content: COD 15 mg/L (60 mg/L KMnO4). Humus type may affect filtration efficiency and lifespan. For higher humus levels or within the specified limits, consider adding an AQVA MAX series humus filter to the system.

• Hydrogen Sulfide Removal: The system effectively reduces moderate hydrogen sulfide levels, suitable for noticeable but not overwhelming odors. As hydrogen sulfide levels cannot be precisely quantified through laboratory analysis and odor perception varies individually, exact specifications are not feasible.

Replacement Filters and Estimated Lifespan:

• AQMF1-XL: 1 µm fine filter, approximately 24,000 liters.

• AQ052: AQVA IRON filter, approximately 320,000 liters at 1 mg/L iron content or 80,000 liters at 4 mg/L iron content.

• AQCAT-XL: Hydrogen sulfide filter, approximately 140,000 liters.
